Immigrant Services and Connections (ISAC)

Immigrant Services and Connections (ISAC)

Each year, we welcome people from more than 90 different countries and help them to thrive in their new home.

Immigrants and refugees often struggle to access vital services due to language and cultural barriers. Literacy Pittsburgh is making it easier for new immigrants to find the help and services they need. We provide service coordination and information, assistance, and referral support to immigrants and refugees who live in Allegheny County. Our Immigrant Services and Connections (ISAC) program is a multi-agency collaboration designed to connect immigrants to these important resources and services.

ISAC helps immigrants and refugees build a new life in Pittsburgh. We speak with these new residents in their native language, listen to their questions, and get them the answers they need. We help them get assistance with food, rent, utilities, and transportation. We can help them navigate the healthcare system, find childcare, and access available benefits. For those in need of legal services, we can also provide them with referrals. Clients of ISAC do not have to be enrolled as Literacy Pittsburgh students to receive these services.
