Alexander joined Literacy Pittsburgh in 1999 as an AmeriCorps member and was hired as a Program Coordinator and served as Site Center Manager before named Data and Information Manager in 2019. In this capacity, Alexander is responsible for documenting student accomplishments, ensuring compliance to government contracts, and synthesizing data to promote efficiency, effectiveness and smart decision-making.
Alexander has served as Treasurer and Western Regional Representative on the Board of the Pennsylvania Association for Adult Continuing Education, a statewide leadership group for adult education partners. He also served for ten years as a political appointee of the Allegheny County Chief Executive on the Community Services Advisory Council of Allegheny County, serving as president for six years.
Alexander has a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and a certificate in accounting from the University of Pittsburgh.
